The Presidents of the United States are elected for a 4-Year term who is the Head of State and Head of the Government.
Since 1789, 44 men have served as the President of the United States. The first President of the United States was George Washington and the current President is Donald Trump (since January 20, 2017).
Grover Cleveland is the only President who served two non-consecutive terms in office and is therefore counted as the 22nd and 24th president of the United States.
There are currently four living former presidents i.e. Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter. Former president George H. W. Bush died on November 30, 2018.
