Indian women have been participating in various international games throughout the world for centuries in all varieties of sports.

In the twentieth century, female participation and popularity in sports expanded significantly. Especially in the last 25 years, they reflected the changes in modern societies that emphasize gender equality. 

Indian women are none less than women from other countries. They have been participating in several sports and have honored the country by bringing a medal back home.

There are several sports where even men couldn’t bring any medal yet our Indian woman has achieved success.

In sports like Gymnastic, we have our Dipa Karmakar who has represented our country for the first time in decades.
